I have finished 10 years in the teaching profession and feel the need for something different for transferring knowledge. Today, we are dealing with GEN Z with shorter attention spans, making traditional methods ineffective.

I have been through your answer sheets and must make few comments
Please read full syllabus carefully and practise drawing. You need to write at least 50-80 words (6 to 10 lines) for a 5 mark question. One page is about 220-240 words. This means you will be writing about 6-7 pages in 3 hours, so no excuse for untidy work. You will not run into time problems. In case of doubts, I am available.
Remember target “Class average 90%”

Congratulations to all of you for a fine performance in IMU exams. Especially I want to thank second year NS for setting a new record. I am sure this will inspire your juniors to do well. These results also inspire us as faculties to put in more efforts. This was the best gift for Teacher’s day.

Now that we have opened our innings, let us focus on our task. I realize some students are finding it difficult to understand English accent and words of mine due to lesser exposures to English. Realize that the words are with you, else you would not have reached here. Simple solution is Think, Read, Write, Listen and Talk in English. Just talk, talk and talk in English. Set target for English level.
For first few months use web page translator plug in. Available free for Chrome. However I cannot assure you of correctness of translation. Use it as a temporary measure only.

It is nice to see young fresh faces on our campus. As usual there is lot of energy and some usual confusions. While reacting with First year Nautical students, I realize the talent pool is vastly superior. This is good as this will set bar higher for all of us. Normally youngsters good with studies are not expected to be good with sports, but I see lot of exceptions to the rule.
So guys, we are starting main activities from Monday and lets enjoy them. Remember to RESET for new start.
After a long break I am back again. I have updated Rules of the Road under E-Modules. Soon I will be adding “General Ship Knowledge” chapters.
I have not activated my site Email Id as yet.
After a lazy year I am back on net. Life has been good. Now I will put out some stuff for learning.
