Passenger Ships

Passenger Ships

Main purpose of Passenger Ships is to transport passengers.

We have different types of passengers.

1. They are out to have good time and enjoy vacation at sea. Traveling is not exactly on agenda. They are looking for 7 STAR resort. Budget is not an issue.

2. They want to travel by ship to reach destination for work, vacation, pilgrimage etc. They want reasonable cleanliness and facilities while traveling. Budget is respected here.

3. People who travel short distances. Generally voyages last less than 24 hours. May be accompanied by own vehicles.

So we have

Luxury Passenger Ships

These ship’s are nothing but huge floating 7 star hotels. They have luxury suits, cabins, Movie halls, Malls, Disco’s, Sun decks, Swimming pools and every other imaginable facilities. One would not realize that it is a ship. Ships have stabilizers to avoid movement at sea. Normally they go on long voyages calling all tourist destinations. People join and leave as they please in various ports. Idea is not to travel but to enjoy the resort.

Passenger Ships

These are more like budget hotels used during the travel. Basic amenities and facilities are provided during the transit. Many ships have capacity for handling cargoes making them sort of combination ships. Many have dormitories along with different grades of cabins. Especially this applies to ships on “Pilgrimage Service”. Most have voyages lasting up to 15 days.

Normally have typical waiting facilities like Airports or Railway stations consisting of Halls, restaurants, small shops, restrooms etc. Some are inter-harbor services and others are international. Sizes and speed varies according to the trade demand.
